The Best CRM Software For Small Business

March 27, 2018

Any business that wants to succeed these days needs a way to track customers, leads, prospects deals, sales history, communications and more. The type of software that manages all this data is known as a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.

As you might expect there are many different options out there all with different shiny features and tools to make your business run like a well oiled machine. Nowadays most are Internet based meaning you don’t even need to install anything on your local computer or server.

I have personally used many of the most common CRMs and work with clients on a daily basis who have many industry specific packages for businesses such as law firms, doctors offices, insurance companies and more.

In this post, The Best CRM Software For Small Business we are going to focus on a particular CRM that I use personally and is adaptable to fit nearly any type of business. It’s loaded with amazing features that will help you stay organized and on track to increase your sales and customer satisfaction.

So lets jump right in and take a look The Best CRM Software For Small Business and my personal favorite – ProsperWorks.

Given there are so many awesome features in ProsperWorks, we are going to focus on what I feel are the top 5…

  1. Integration with Gmail and G Suite
  2.  Activity tracking
  3. Simplicity and ease of use
  4. Automated actions
  5. Integration with MailChimp

This first feature is by far my most favorite but it may actually be a show stopper for those of you who don’t use Gmail / G Suite for your business. This CRM is designed from the ground up, interface and all to integrate very tightly with Google products. Once you check out some of these awesome features, you may consider making the switch to Google’s G Suite for your business.

With that said, I have never seen a CRM that plays as well with Gmail as ProsperWorks. In fact you don’t even need to open the online web application most of the time. Nearly everything you need to do can be done from right within Gmail. Let’s take a closer look.

Put your CRM right in your inbox

ProsperWorks fits right into your email so once you download the Gmail or Inbox Chrome Extension, you never have to leave your inbox.

When you’re reading an email in Gmail, the contacts profile will show up on the right and you can see your entire communication history with that person, without having to open a new browser window and login to the web application. Amazing!

This leads to the next great thing about ProsperWorks…activity tracking. Don’t you find it frustrating to keep track of interactions you’ve had with your clients and prospects? When did you last communicate with this person, what did you talk about, where did you go, what are the next steps?

Those days are gone with ProsperWorks. You can view an activity feed for every person and business. You’ll see all your email interactions, appointments you’ve made and with a little add-on, it will even track dates / times you’ve talk to this person on your cell phone and automatically pull in any text messages.

You can also manually log activities directly into the feed in case you bump into someone in the street or make a call from your office. Everything you need is right at your fingertips so you can quickly get up to speed with your client communications .

Let’s take a quick break now and check out this video demo from ProsperWorks

As you can see ProsperWorks has some really great features that can help your business become much more efficient and fun!

My next favorite feature is automated actions. You can setup specific tasks to happen based on certain triggers. For example I have a follow up task that gets automatically created whenever I add a new contact. This ensures that I never forget to follow up with new prospects. You can set all sorts of triggers. For example you may want to follow up with people you haven’t talked to in x number of days.

The last (but certainly not the least) favorite feature of ProsperWorks is the integration with MailChimp. If you have a MailChimp account (it’s free) to manage your email follow ups, ProsperWorks can integrate directly with your account so you can see which emails they’ve been sent and add / remove people from lists directly with ProsperWorks. Amazing!

Alright well I really could go on a lot more about ProsperWorks but this is turning into a very long article. I also want to mention I am not being paid in any way to go on and on about how much I love ProsperWorks, nor to I get any kind of credit if you click on a link from this post and signup. I truly love the software and highly recommend it for any business that needs a great CRM tool everyone will love to use.
